Who Reacted

See exactly who reacted to a message and which emoji each person used.

When a message has reactions, you can open a list showing every person who reacted along with the emoji they chose. Each row pairs an initials badge and a full name with that person's emoji. This is the quickest way to confirm who has acknowledged an important message without asking everyone to reply.

Overview

Element	What it shows
Header title	Names the reaction set you are looking at.
Initials badge	The reactor's initials, taken from their name or their company name.
Name	The reactor's full name, matched from your agency directory.
Emoji	The exact emoji that person used.
Popup size	The popup grows with the number of reactors, up to a fixed maximum, after which the list scrolls.

Getting Here

1. Open a conversation that has reactions on a message.
2. Find the reaction chip on the bubble — it shows the most recent emoji together with the total count.
3. Tap the chip. The list of reactors appears as a popup anchored to that message.

note

A bubble with no reactions has no chip, so there is nothing to tap. Add the first reaction with React on the message's long-press menu — see Message Actions (Long-Press).

Read the List

1. Each row is one person and the one emoji they chose.
2. Rows appear in the order the reactions were recorded, so the newest reaction is at the bottom.
3. Scroll if more people reacted than fit in the popup.
4. Tap outside the popup, or use its close control, to return to the conversation.

What the chip on the bubble tells you

Part of the chip	Meaning
The emoji	The emoji from the most recent reaction on that message.
The number	How many people have reacted in total, not how many used that emoji.

So a chip can show one emoji and a count of five even when the five people used five different emoji. Open this list to see the breakdown.

Using Reactions as Acknowledgement

Because each person can have only one reaction on a message, this list is effectively a receipt roll. Agree on a single emoji for "read and understood", then open the list to see at a glance who has responded and who has not.

1. Send the instruction as a normal message.
2. Ask the group to react rather than reply.
3. Tap the chip and compare the names against who is on the assignment.

This keeps a busy thread readable during an incident. Instead of a dozen one-word replies pushing the instruction off the screen, you get one chip you can open whenever you need the roll call.

Empty and Loading States

Situation	What you see
A reactor whose directory record is missing	The row appears with the emoji but no resolved name or initials.
Many reactors	The popup reaches its maximum height and the list becomes scrollable.
One reactor	A short popup sized to the single row.
No reactions	No chip on the bubble, so the list cannot be opened.

How This Connects

• Where the names come from. Each reaction stores who made it. This screen matches that person against your agency directory to produce the name and initials, which is why reactors appear with the same names you see in the Directory module and in Group Chat Details. A reactor whose directory record has not synced yet shows without a name.
• Where the emoji come from. Each row shows the emoji that person saved in Emoji Reactions. Because a new reaction replaces a person's earlier one, nobody appears twice.
• What updates the list. Reactions arrive with the conversation refresh, so new ones show up after the thread syncs. Your own reaction is recorded locally the moment you save it and appears here immediately.
• Shared with other screens. The chip you tap lives on the message bubble in Chat View, and the counts feed nothing else — reactions do not affect unread badges on the Messages List.
• Chats and incidents. In a conversation opened from an incident's Comms tab, this list is the fastest way to confirm that a tasking has been picked up by the units it was sent to, without generating extra traffic in the thread.
• Offline behavior. The list is built from data already stored on your device, so it opens with no connection. Reactions made by other people while you were offline appear once the conversation next syncs.

Troubleshooting

If this happens	What to do
A row has an emoji but no name	That person's directory record has not synced. Let the app sync and reopen the list.
The count on the chip looks wrong	The number is the total of all reactors, not of the shown emoji. Open the list to see the breakdown.
Someone is missing from the list	Their reaction has not synced yet, or they have not reacted. Reopen the conversation to refresh it.
Someone appears once when you expected twice	Each person can have one reaction per message; a new one replaces the old one.
There is no chip to tap	The message has no reactions. Add one with React on the long-press menu.
The popup is cut off	It is at its maximum height. Scroll inside the list to see the rest.
