Permission Required
A prompt that explains a permission the app needs, and takes you to Settings to switch it on.
Why you are seeing this: REDENES checked the permissions it relies on and found one or more switched off at the device level. Because location and notifications are what keep your position visible to your team and alerts arriving, the app tells you rather than quietly working at half strength. You will usually also see a banner across the top reading Permissions might effect app function.
The popup is informational. You can go straight to Settings and fix it, or dismiss it and carry on — but any feature that needs the missing permission stays unavailable until you grant it.

What the message can say
The popup lists one line per missing permission, in plain wording:

If both are off, both lines appear, one under the other.
The popup adapts its width to the device and orientation — about half the screen on iPad and in landscape, and nearly full width on an iPhone in portrait — so the message stays easy to read.
Getting Here
- Sign in, or bring the app back to the foreground.
- REDENES checks its required permissions.
- If any are off, the banner appears and this popup opens over the current screen.
You cannot open the popup deliberately. It appears on its own, and only while you have a connection — the check is skipped when you are offline.
Grant the Permission
- Read the message so you know which permission is missing.
- Tap Settings. The popup closes and your device opens the REDENES Settings page.
- Switch on the permission the message named:

- Return to REDENES. The feature starts working again; some screens need reopening before they pick it up.
If the popup named location, choose Always rather than While Using the App when your role requires your position to stay visible to dispatch while the app is in the background.
Dismiss Without Granting
- Tap the back or close button.
- The popup closes and you stay on the current screen.
- The banner may remain, and any feature that needed the permission is still unavailable.
Dismissing does not switch anything on. The popup will appear again the next time the app checks, so it is quicker to grant the permission than to keep closing it.
Other Permission Messages You May See
This popup covers location and notifications. Individual features check their own permission when you use them, and each has its own alert with an OK button that opens Settings:

The first time a feature needs a permission, the app shows a short explanation and then the system prompt. Allow it and the feature opens straight away, with no need to tap twice. The alerts above only appear once a permission has actually been denied, which is why they send you to Settings rather than asking again.
How This Connects
- What triggers the check. The app reviews its permissions at sign-in and each time it returns to the foreground. Every grant or denial you make is also reported to the server, so your administrator can see which devices are missing permissions they need.
- Where permissions are set. Only in your device Settings — there is no permission switch inside REDENES. The Settings button on this popup is a shortcut to the right page. For the full list the app can ask for and why, see Permissions.
- Which screens depend on them. Location feeds Map Location, GPS and Time & Distance Calculator. Notifications feed Notifications and Push Notification Settings. Camera and photos feed PDF Generator, Photo Drawing, Photo Gallery and Anomaly Detection.
- Permissions are shared across features. One camera grant covers every camera feature; one photo grant covers reading and saving photos everywhere. Denying a permission for one screen disables it for all of them.
- Not a sign-in or connection problem. If you are being asked to sign in again, or told the server cannot be reached, that is a different screen — see Session Timeout.
- Offline and reconnect. The permission check runs only when you have a connection, so you may not see the popup while offline even with a permission switched off. It appears again once you reconnect, and the reported status is sent then too.
