Weather Details
A close-up of one forecast period: temperature, conditions, and every weather value your agency tracks.
Weather Details is the deepest view of a single forecast period — one hour, or one part of a day. The card at the top gives you the headline: an icon, the temperature, the period it covers, a short description and when the reading was last refreshed. Below that, a grid of tiles lists every measurement your agency has chosen to show, one label and value per tile.

The detail grid
Below the card, each measurement gets its own square tile with the measurement's name on top and its value underneath. The grid lays out three tiles across on a phone and four across on a tablet held sideways, and it re-flows when you rotate the device.
The tiles you see depend entirely on what your agency has switched on for its detailed view. Typical measurements include wind speed and direction, humidity, dew point, chance of precipitation, cloud cover and visibility, but the set is configurable and two agencies can see different grids from the same underlying forecast.
Temperatures follow your account's unit system. When it is set to metric the temperature is converted and shown in degrees Celsius; otherwise it appears in Fahrenheit with the unit letter from the forecast. Change it in General App Settings.
Getting Here
- Open Home, then tap Weather.
- Tap a forecast location card to open Weather Tabs.
- Choose the Daily or Hourly forecast.
- Tap a period in the list.
Both tabs lead here. From Hourly you get the values for that single hour; from Daily you get the values for the period you expanded within that day.
Reading the Details
- Start with the temperature and short forecast at the top — that is the summary you would read out on the radio.
- Check the Updated at time. Weather readings are only as good as their age, and this screen shows you exactly how old the data is.
- Confirm the period across the top of the card, so you know you are looking at the right hour rather than the one next to it.
- Scroll the grid for the rest of the numbers. Wind and humidity are usually what matter most operationally.
On a fast-changing day, note the Updated at time before you act on a reading. If it is more than an hour old, back out to the Weather screen with a connection so the forecast refreshes, then come back.
What Updates the Screen

Everything on this screen comes from the forecast that was stored on your device when the location last refreshed, which is why it is fully readable in a dead zone. The Updated at time is your guide to whether it is still worth trusting.
How This Connects
- Where the data comes from. The numbers are one period out of the forecast the app fetched from the National Weather Service for that location, stored on your device with a refresh timestamp. This screen only reads it.
- Weather Tabs. Weather Tabs is the screen that holds the daily and hourly lists and hands one period to this screen. The quick summary shown on an expanded row there is a shorter version of this same grid.
- Weather. The location itself is one of your saved forecast locations on the Weather screen, and the card there shows a smaller quick-view set of the same measurements.
- Map layers. The animated layers in Visualization mode on the Weather screen visualise conditions across an area rather than at one point; this screen is the point reading for one spot at one time.
- Incidents. The weather popup on an incident's command screens draws on the same forecast data — see Command Weather Forecast.
- Settings. Your unit system decides Celsius or Fahrenheit and your date format decides how the period and Updated at times are written. Both are in General App Settings. Which tiles appear is set by your agency, not by you.
- Offline and reconnect. Nothing on this screen needs a connection to read. Reconnecting and reopening the location is what brings in newer numbers.
Troubleshooting

| The weather icon is blank | Icons are fetched from the network. Read the short forecast text instead, or reconnect. |
| The period at the top is not the hour you tapped | Go back to Weather Tabs and tap the row again. Daily rows cover parts of a day rather than single hours. |
| The grid only shows one tile per row | Rotate the device, or check that the screen is not zoomed in your phone's display settings. |
| Values look implausible | Note the Updated at time and refresh. A stale forecast can carry values from a very different day. |
| Two teammates see different tiles | The grid is configured per agency. Someone signed in to a different agency sees that agency's set. |
